The mission of the United Nations is to prevent future generations from war by maintaining peace and security and promote friendly relationship between countries.

On October 24,1945 the United Nations rose from the League of Nations after the first World War to prevent another global conflict.
How did the United Nations hope to avoid the problems encountered by the League of Nations?
What the 6 principle organs of the UN & how do they function?
